Spring Jewelry Styling Tips

It seems as though we’ll be spending much of this spring indoors, but that has never stopped us from finding a way to elevate our style. True, we have been spending a fair amount of time in comfortable clothing so far, but we’ve found that adding our favorite jewelry pieces to our outfits can make us feel put together even when we won’t be leaving the house.

Beautiful things have a way of brightening even the most dreary days, of softening the harsh edges of the world. If you’re lacking inspiration, we have a few simple jewelry styling tips that can get you through the spring.

Spring Jewelry Styling Tips

Drop earrings and a messy bun

We won’t judge you if you haven’t washed your hair in a few days (or if it’s been a little longer than that) - messy buns can be just as glamorous as freshly styled hair. Use a gold hair pin to pull back your locks into the perfectly mussed updo, and then accessorize with your favorite pair of drop earrings. Pulling your hair away from your face lets your favorite pieces shine, and frames your features without requiring much effort. Our favorite drop earrings right now are bold enough to stand on their own. You don’t need any other pieces to complete this look.

Thin bracelet stacks

Whether you’re choosing a cardigan or a crewneck from your closet this week, adding a few thin bracelets to each wrist can make your look feel less like you grabbed “whatever” and more like you created an intentional outfit. We like varied dainty chain bracelets, one layered after the other, each with its own link pattern to add visual interest. These bracelets add some metallic shine to your comfortable outfit, but won’t get in the way when you’re working or playing with your children. For a bolder look, stack a few rings on each hand, preferably in the same metal tone as your bracelets, or featuring a large precious stone.

Long pendants and a blazer

If you’re craving a bit more polish, perhaps you’ll choose a blazer as your statement look. With a pair of loose fit, distressed jeans, this typically prim piece can be reimagined for comfort. To make your outfit OOTD-worthy (yes, our time spent on Instagram has dramatically increased too), consider layering a long pendant or two that will fall directly in the deep v neckline created by your blazer. You’ll add a vertical element to your outfit, and lengthen your silhouette in the process. Our favorite pendants right now feature a round coin motif, or a thin cylinder to add even more length.

Though the days are all starting to blur together, don’t let them become monotonous. Allow yourself to sink into your creativity and embrace your sense of style. Simply putting on your favorite pendant, your most loved drop earrings, or a slinky bracelet can have the power to make you feel normal again, make you open your eyes to the possibilities of this strange time and find the silver lining in the clouds.
